What About Us? Kids Camp, November 7, 2015

What About Us? will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2015 and is geared for kids ages 5-12 who have a cancer diagnosis in their family.

What About Us? is a free, one day event designed is to build upon a child’s strengths and enhance his/her ability to identify and share their feelings related to a loved one’s cancer diagnosis and treatment.  The program has a unique format of also providing support and education for the parents so they may in-turn support the children at home.  Lunch is provided, along with fun activities and kids yoga. This group is led by licensed social workers and a trained yoga instructor. This program was developed by Gems of Hope, Inc. and is partially funded by a grant from the Linn County Board of Supervisor’s Witwer Trust.
